Sodium oxalate ACS is a white crystalline powder that is both odorless and soluble in water. Comprised of sodium ions (Na?) and oxalate ions (C2O4²?), it is also known as disodium oxalate and is the sodium salt of oxalic acid with the formula Na2C2O4. This compound is commonly referred to as Ethanedioic Acid Disodium Salt or Oxalic Acid Sodium Salt. With a wide range of applications in various industries, sodium oxalate (Na2C2O4) is frequently used as a laboratory reagent in ACS grade, meeting the rigorous purity standards established by the American Chemical Society for analytical and research purposes.
ChemieR offers a comprehensive range of ACS grade and ISO 9001:2015 certified products, including high-purity solvents, inorganic reagents, acids, bases, and organic reagents. Application :
- Sodium oxalate ACS is a water soluble inorganic salt mainly used for the standardization of permanganate solution during titration.
- It may be used as a dispersant and a coordination agent for the electrooxidation of formic acid using a palladium nanoparticle catalyst dispersed on the purified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (P-MWCNTs).
- In combination with sodium hydroxide, it may be used to mediate the preparation of Cu/ZrO2 catalyst from copper nitrite and zirconium nitrate solution mixture via coprecipitation method.
- It is employed in chemical analysis to precipitate calcium ions as insoluble calcium oxalate, which is useful in determining the calcium content of solutions.
Key features :
- Meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity
- Stable and versatile product
- As a precipitation reagent
