Xylenes Technical

Technical Xylenes | CAS: 1330-20-7 | M.F: C6H4(CH3)2 | MW: 106.17, Buy now for reproducible and consistent results from ChemieR at Chemical World.

Xylenes Technical Grade is a clear, colorless liquid that is greasy to the touch. It is a mixture of three isomers of xylene, ortho, meta and para-xylene. Its chemical formula is C6H4(CH3)2. Xylenes are also known as Dimethylbenzenes and Xylol. Xylene is insoluble in water but miscible with many organic solvents. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon widely used as a solvent in various chemical reactions. Unless a higher purity grade is specified, Technical Grade chemicals are of sufficient quality for industrial applications. Technical Grade chemicals are mainly utilized in large-scale commercial manufacturing.

ChemieR offers a comprehensive range of ACS grade and ISO 9001:2015 certified products, including high-purity solvents, inorganic reagents, acids, bases, and organic reagents. Our high-quality materials ensure your laboratory achieves precise, reproducible results every time. Rely on ChemieR for trusted, premium-grade chemicals that meet the highest industry standards.

Application :

  • Xylenes Technical is primarily used as a solvent (a liquid that can dissolve other substances) in the printing, rubber, and leather industries.
  • Along with other solvents, xylene is also widely used as a cleaning agent, a thinner for paint, and in varnishes.
  • It is used as a raw material for the manufacture of fibers, dyes, and films, it is also used in laboratories to cool reaction vessels, as a clearing agent.
  • It serves as a key solvent in the production of resins, adhesives, and other chemical intermediates.
  • It is used in the laboratory in conjunction with dry ice to act as a coolant.

Key features :

  • High purity which required for the technical grade
  • High solvency power and fast evaporation rate, making it an efficient solvent for various applications.
  • Miscible with most organic solvents
