Petroleum Ether ACS

ACS Grade Petroleum Ether | CAS: 8032-32-4 | M.F: CH3(CH2)5CH3 | MW: 100.2, Buy now for reproducible and consistent results from ChemieR at Chemical World.

Petroleum ether ACS is a clear colorless liquid with a characteristic odor, and it is composed of a mixture of aliphatic hydrocarbons with boiling points between 30°C and 200°C. It is produced through the refining of crude oil. Petroleum ether ACS is also known as benzine, petroleum naphtha, Ligroin, Mineral Spirits. It is a liquid hydrocarcbon that is mainly used as a nonpolar solvent. It is insoluble in water but soluble in ethanol. Petroleum ether is a mixture of low boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons (mainly hexane and pentane) that is generally used as a laboratory solvent. Petroleum ether ACS is widely used in many different industries.

ChemieR offers a comprehensive range of ACS grade and ISO 9001:2015 certified products, including high-purity solvents, inorganic reagents, acids, bases, and organic reagents. Our high-quality materials ensure your laboratory achieves precise, reproducible results every time. Rely on ChemieR for trusted, premium-grade chemicals that meet the highest industry standards.

Application :

  • Petroleum ether ACS is used as an essential ingredient in label removing products and as a low boiling solvent.
  • It is commonly used in the production of adhesives, coatings, and rubber, as well as in the extraction of natural products.
  •  It is also used as a standard for testing the performance of gasoline engines.
  • It is also commonly used in the petrochemical industry as a feedstock for the production of various chemicals, including ethylene, propylene, and butadiene.
  • It can be used as a solvent for extracting Soluble compounds from the mushroom samples and Carotenoids from the marine Thraustochytrium sp.ONC-T18.

Key features :

  • High quality and purity product which met the toughest standard of the American Chemical Society (ACS)
  • Highly pure and versatile chemical product
  • Highly volatile liquid with low polarity, making it an excellent solvent for many non-polar compounds.
