Methyl Violet 2B Certified CAS: 8004-87-3 | MF: C24H28N3Cl | MW: 393.96S10123, Part Number S10123, Buy Histological Stains & Dyes for Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, Hematology & Biology Lab from TriStains at Chemical World.

.

Methyl Violet 2B Certified represents a pharmaceutical-grade, high-purity variant of the Methyl Violet 2B dye, also recognized as Basic Violet 1. This dye consists of polymethylated (4,5 and 6) pararosaniline chlorides. With a triphenylmethane structure, Methyl Violet 2B is classified as a cationic dye. To ensure consistent quality, purity, and performance, it undergoes thorough testing and certification procedures. The certification process includes stringent analytical tests like spectrophotometric analysis to confirm the dye's identity, purity, and concentration.

TriStains provides a marketplace for histology and biological stains, which is comprehensive enough to encompass the peculiar requirements of laboratories specializing in Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, and Hematology. With a reputation for exceeding quality expectations.

TriStains chromatic performance is outstanding which allows for resolution of cell and tissue components fundamental to life sciences to be clearly visualized. Each product under TriStains series is validated for accuracy, reliability and consistency. TriStains, which manufactures and markets stains and indicators in various packing, offers laboratories turn key solutions for all their staining and indicator needs, improving accuracy in every experiment.

Application :

  • Methyl violet 2B has been used to stain human lung fibroblast cells (A549) in in vitro antiviral assay.
  • It acts as a selective dye and facilitates the differentiation of Klebsiella pneumoniae from Enterobacter aerogenes and other gram-negative organisms.
  • The certified version of Methyl Violet 2B is preferred in applications where high-quality, standardized reagents are required, such as in diagnostic kits and research laboratories.

Benefits :

  • Meets stringent quality control standards
  • Ensures more reliable and accurate results
  • Versatile and stable

Methyl violet 2B is a biological stain that is commonly used at a pH between 0 and 1.6. The dye has displayed strong staining of the internal limiting membrane of the eye. At a concentration of 4.0 x 10-5mol L-1 Methyl violet 2B and pH 6.5 the dye has displayed a strong cytotoxic interaction with calf thymus DNA resulting in massive aggregates forming and conformational changes in calf thymus DNA. Methyl violet 2B has also been observed to quench the fluorescence of BSA.
