Fluorescein W/S

Fluorescein W/S CAS: 518-47-8 | MF: C20H10O5€š¬¢2Na | MW: 376.27S10089, Part Number S10089, Buy Histological Stains & Dyes for Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, Hematology & Biology Lab from TriStains at Chemical World.

.

Fluorescein is an organic compound and dye that belongs to the triarylmethine dye family. It has a xanthene tricyclic structural motif and is available as a dark orange/red powder that is slightly soluble in water and alcohol. Fluorescein W/S is a modified form of fluorescein that has been chemically altered to enhance its water solubility. This is typically achieved by adding water-solubilizing functional groups, such as sulfonate (-SO3H) or carboxylate (-COO-) groups, to the fluorescein molecule. These water-soluble modifications make Fluorescein W/S more readily dispersible and stable in aqueous solutions.

TriStains provides a marketplace for histology and biological stains, which is comprehensive enough to encompass the peculiar requirements of laboratories specializing in Histology, Cytology, Microbiology, and Hematology. With a reputation for exceeding quality expectations.

TriStains chromatic performance is outstanding which allows for resolution of cell and tissue components fundamental to life sciences to be clearly visualized. Each product under TriStains series is validated for accuracy, reliability and consistency. TriStains, which manufactures and markets stains and indicators in various packing, offers laboratories turn key solutions for all their staining and indicator needs, improving accuracy in every experiment.

Application :

  • Fluorescein W/S is used as a fluorescent tracer in various biomedical applications, such as Angiography to visualize blood vessels, Ophthalmic procedures to assess eye health, Cell and tissue labeling for microscopy and flow cytometry.
  • The water-soluble nature of fluorescein W/S makes it useful as a dye tracer in environmental studies, such Groundwater flow and contaminant transport investigations, Surface water quality assessments and Wastewater treatment system monitoring.
  • Fluorescein W/S is employed as a fluorescent marker in various analytical techniques, including High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Capillary electrophoresis and Fluorescence spectroscopy.

Benefits :

  • Improved water solubility compared to the original fluorescein dye
  • Suitable for applications where a water-soluble fluorescent probe is required
  • Enhanced stability and dispersibility in aqueous solutions

Fluorescein sodium salt is a disodium salt of fluorescein and a noted pH sensitive fluorophore. Fluorescein sodium salt has been utilized in studies as a drug model, as a penetrating dye and also as a fluorescein tracer. Fluorescein sodium salt has also been used in vitro to quantify root dentin demineralization. Additional reported uses include microscopy, as a gain medium in dye laser use and to detect latent blood stains in vitro. Common derivatives of Fluorescein include fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), eosin and Rose Bengal (sc-296278) and Rose Bengal sodium salt (sc-203757)
