Azure C is a dark green to dark green colored powder which is strong metachromatic dye. Azure C powder dye is obtained by oxidation of Methylene blue dye. Its chemical formula is C13H12ClN3S. Azure C is also known as Monomethylthionine chloride, 7-methyliminophenothiazin-10-ium-3-amine chloride.
