Potassium Carbonate Anhydro...

Potassium Carbonate Anhydrous ACS Grade CAS: 584-08-7 | M.F: K2CO3 | MW: 138.21, Buy now for reliable and Reproducible results from ChemieR Inorganic Reagent at Chemical World.

Potassium carbonate anhydrous, designated by the ACS (American Chemical Society), presents itself as a white, granular powder that exhibits high solubility in water. This inorganic base is known by the chemical formula K?CO? and is commonly referred to as potash or pearl ash. Being the anhydrous form of potassium carbonate, it lacks any water molecules within its crystal structure. The ACS designation ensures that it adheres to the quality standards established by the American Chemical Society for laboratory purposes. The ACS grade indicates a superior level of purity suitable for laboratory and analytical uses.

ChemieR offers a comprehensive range of ACS grade and ISO 9001:2015 certified products, including high-purity solvents, inorganic reagents, acids, bases, and organic reagents. Our high-quality materials ensure your laboratory achieves precise, reproducible results every time. Rely on ChemieR for trusted, premium-grade chemicals that meet the highest industry standards.

Application :

  • Potassium carbonate anhydrous ACS participates as a base in the palladacycle catalyzed Heck reaction of chlorobenzene with styrene. Addition of amino acids (glycine, sarcosine and proline) to K2CO3 (solvent) promotes the absorption of CO2.
  • It has been used in the preparation of disulfonated bis[4-(3 aminophenoxy)phenyl]sulfone, a disulfonated diamine monomer.
  • It is used as a base for the synthesis of high molecular weight homopolymers and copolymers derived from various bisphenols. As a base for the Suzuki coupling of aryl halides with aryl boronic acids. It is used as a reagent in the synthesis of polysubstituted iodobenzene derivatives.
  • It is used in the preparation of buffer solutions, helping to maintain a stable pH in various chemical and biological processes.

Key features :

  • Meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity
  • Highly soluble in water and versatile product
  • It contributes to the buffering capacity of solutions, making it valuable in maintaining a stable pH environment
  • Safe, effective and affordable product
