Application :
- Calcium hydroxide ACS is used as a flocculent in waste water treatment plants (WWTPs) to adjust pH, as well as in the paper manufacturing industry.
- It is used as a whitewash ingredient, as a lye substitute in non-lye hair relaxers.
- It is used as a catalyst in the pyrolysis of pinewood in a fixed bed reactor.
- It is used in the pretreatment of technical lignin during the pyrolysis in a fluidized bed reactor to overcome the agglomeration to produce phenolic-rich bio-oil.
