1-Chlorobutane HPLC is an alkyl halide characterized by its clear, colorless liquid form. The chemical formula for this compound is CH3(CH2)3Cl, and it is commonly referred to as Butyl chloride. When subjected to a reaction with nanocrystalline MgO at temperatures ranging from 200 to 350°C, it yields butane isomers and magnesium chloride (MgCl2) through a process of dehydrochlorination.

Application :
