Application :
- Perchloric acid 50% ACS is used as a precursor for ammonium perchlorate, which is used in rocket fuel.
- It is useful for etching of liquid crystal displays, etching of chrome, ore extraction and in analytical chemistry.
- It is involved in the separation and determination of copper and other metals and alkali metals such as sodium and potassium. It is also used as an adjunct to increase the reduction potential of cerate salts in volumetric analysis.
